Research team
Martina Sopta Ćorić, PhD, is a full professor at the Department of Managerial Economics, Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb. Her research focuses on managerial economics, finance, and microeconomics. She earned her PhD in finance through the “European Doctoral Programs Association in Management and Business Administration” at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb.
She teaches courses in managerial economics, cost and profit management, microeconomics, internal capital markets, and doctoral-level corporate finance, and is co-director of the postgraduate program “Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Management”.
For over twenty years, she has served as advisor to executive boards of leading Croatian companies, including top-performing firms in the energy sector such as Crodux d.o.o., and in major corporate groups such as ADRIS, AGRAM/AGROKOR, and Allianz. Her roles have included executive leadership, project management, and research and development management, notably leading digitalization projects and the introduction of strategic e-commerce sales channels.
Her research output includes more than 40 scientific publications, with 19 indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, contributing significantly to both national and international academic achievements. Her interests combine energy innovation, digitization, sustainability, and interdisciplinary management, bridging academic research with practical leadership in complex corporate and energy-sector projects.

Mihovil Anđelinović, PhD, is a full professor at the Department of Finance, Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb. His research interests include financial institutions and markets, sustainable and digital transformation in finance, payment systems, financial literacy, and trends in insurance. He is also the director of the postgraduate program "Insurance and Reinsurance" and serves as the head of the Department of Finance.
During his career, he has participated in numerous projects, including Erasmus+ programs such as Sustainable Development Goals in Education and in Action! (ESDGs!) and BOOMER. He also served as adviser to institutions such as the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb and the Croatian Insurance Bureau.
His business experience includes membership in the supervisory and audit boards of numerous companies and institutions, such as LNG Croatia d.o.o., Croatia Control Ltd, Josip Juraj Strossmayer Water Institute, Državne nekretnine d.o.o., HOPS d.o.o., and others. He was also a member of the working groups for the National Development Strategy Until 2030 Republic of Croatia.
Furthermore, Mihovil Anđelinović is the author of numerous scientific papers, books, and book chapters. His works, which have been published in international journals and proceedings, deal with topics such as sustainable investments, financial stability, ESG criteria, cybersecurity in insurance, and financial literacy. Among his most significant publications are the book "Payment Transactions" (2017), research on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on stock market indices, and a concentration analysis of the Croatian banking system. His works are regularly indexed in international databases, confirming their scientific relevance.

Davor Labaš, PhD, is associate professor at the Department of Managerial Economics, Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb. He holds a PhD in the field of crisis management and is the course coordinator and lead lecturer for the courses “Crisis Management”, “Controlling,” and “Introduction to Controlling”.
He has participated as a co-project manager and member of the project team in several domestic and international scientific and research projects such as ERASMUS+ Sustainable Development Goals in Education and in Action! (ESDGs!). He is the author of numerous published scientific and professional papers and chapters in books. His areas of scientific interest are mainly related to controlling, crisis management, and sustainability. He actively participates in various international and domestic scientific and professional meetings, seminars, workshops and conferences in the fields of his research interests. He also serves as director of the postgraduate program “Controlling”.
Additionally, Professor Labaš has furthered his research and teaching skills at reputable universities and institutions abroad, in countries such as the United States of America, Germany, China, Singapore, Malta, Spain, Australia, Iceland, Ireland, Slovenia and Chile. He was also the project manager and member of the project team of several professional and consulting projects in both the public and private sector. He was also the President of the Supervisory Board of the HROTE d.o.o. He is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of IMEX Banka d.d., and serves as the President of the Supervisory Board and as a member of the Assembly of the Red Cross of the City of Zagreb.
Mihaela Mikić, PhD, is an associate professor at the Department of Entrepreneurship Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb. Her research interests include entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, small business finance, small business management and internationalization of SMEs. She is the author of more than 40 scientific papers, 25 of which are indexed in Web of Science and Scopus, as well as three books, and has contributed chapters to numerous edited volumes. In 2021 she was given the Mijo Mirković Award for the best paper in the field of economics for the paper: “Climbing Up the Regional Intellectual Capital Tree: An EU Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Analysis”.
She stands out for her interdisciplinary approach to research, combining entrepreneurship with topics such as sustainable development, intellectual capital, and gender equality. Her works often focus on the Croatian economy while providing clear applicability to the global context, and often contribute to the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, both in academic and practical terms.
She has participated in the implementation of domestic and international projects, both as an associate and as a project or co-project manager. She also currently serves as the co-director of the postgraduate program “Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Management” and as president of the Inclusion and Diversity Board at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb.
Patricia Uroić, MA, is an assistant at the Department of Organization and Management, Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb. She is an expert in the field of economics and management, with extensive academic and professional experience. She specializes in the areas of management, leadership, business ethics, and corporate social responsibility, and she teaches in various programs, including international programs conducted in English.
Patricia is actively involved in scientific projects, especially in the international research project “Hidden Champions”, in which she is a co-author of several case studies. Her research has been published in renowned scientific journals and books, focusing on topics such as sustainable business development, blockchain technology, and transformative learning. She has also participated in the organization of numerous professional and scientific events, such as the fintech conference “Money Motion” and the “WorldSkills Croatia” competition.
She has received several awards for her work, including an award for exceptional results in teaching seminars at the Faculty of Economics, University of Zagreb and the recognition of the Ministry of Science and Education for her contribution to the development of the education system. She is also a co-author of several textbooks and workbooks intended for secondary and higher education teaching.
Patricia Uroić combines academic and practical work to further the popularization of science. Standing out as a dedicated educator and researcher, her career reflects a commitment to advancing education and science through an interdisciplinary approach and collaboration with various institutions.
